In the cities of Culiacán and Mazatlán, state and naval forces responded to emergency lines regarding people deprived of their liberty. In one case, three men were rescued from being held against their will in a building.
The State Public Security Secretariat announced that an anonymous call to the emergency lines in Mazatlán provided information about three people being held in a house in the Flores Magón neighborhood.
The naval personnel who participated in their release provided them with medical assistance, even though they were found to be in good health. This action did not result in the arrest of the alleged perpetrators.
A second report of an alleged deprivation of liberty of a person at a hotel on the northern exit of Culiacán mobilized State Preventive Police officers, who searched the accommodations and did not find anyone forcibly detained.

However, upon leaving the motel, four young men in a white Jeep were detained for a search. They were found to be in possession of four firearms, 13 magazines of various calibers, 105 live rounds of ammunition for a 9-millimeter pistol, and 50 steel spikes.
The detainees were seized with an AK-47 rifle, three 9-millimeter pistols, seven 7.62x39mm magazines, five Glock pistol magazines, two Beretta pistol magazines, and 754 7.62x39mm cartridges.
The alleged detainee was not located in any of the motel rooms, so the four detainees were turned over to the appropriate authorities for investigation.
